Callaway x2 hot driver. Condition is 'Used'. Sole shows normal wear but does not compromise use. Adjustable, but adjustment tool not included. (Uses standard tool.) Stiff flex Aldila shaft. Head cover included. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. The Callaway X2 Hot driver is designed to be even longer and more forgiving off the tee than its X Hot predecessor. Thanks to the new head shape and construction, the sweet spot is located where you’re more likely to hit it while ball speed and distance are maintained if you don’t. Where the original X Hot just offered the ability to adjust the face angle, the X2 Hot goes further, offering the same adjustability as the Callaway FT Optiforce driver. Three heads of 9.5, 10.5 and 13.5 degrees are available and golfers can use the Advanced Adjustable Hosel to increase the loft by 1 or 2 degrees or decrease the loft by 1 degree. This is the hot adjustment of 2015 – Cobra’s FlipZone and Nike’s FlexFlight are both good examples of it. According to the manufacturers, when the weight moves back, the driver becomes higher launching and lower spinning, and with the weight forward, the ball flight is lower with more spin.

What we say...
Technology
Callaway claims the X2 Hot is nine yards longer than the X Hot. It features Callaway’s fastest, thinnest and lightest all-titanium driver face ever. The sweetspot is 10 per cent larger while a new head shape improves aerodynamics. An adjustable hosel lets you increase or decrease loft (+2° and -1°) and change the lie angle independently.
Looks
The winning matt silver crown is slightly darker, the graphics on its perimeter have carried over from the X Hot. Other than the orange details, little has changed from an aesthetic point of view.
Feel/sound
You’re making a statement if you use this driver. The headcover is bold, the sole funky and the loud sound lets you and everyone around know a ball has been hit hard. It feels strong, but not overly firm.
Performance
Myself and the pro that tried it started by hitting everything left. But by playing with the adjustability I managed to sort the problem out in a matter of minutes. There’s no doubting this is a strong driver at a reasonable price. It offers distance and forgiveness in a great-looking package. The stock stiff shaft is lighter and softer than the aftermarket options and won’t suit everyone. Note that the two rings on the uptight hosel don’t represent loft and lie respectively – there’s loft and lie settings on both cogs. So set the loft first, then the lie angle.

The Pro Version features a smaller, 440c head with more neutral bias designed for more workability, and delivers penetrating trajectories with low spin. It costs the same as the standard version and comes in an 8.5° head and can be tweaked from 7.5°-10.5°.
